The SiSC Group, founded by Prof. Fabian Vargas in 1997, is hosted by the Electrical Engineering Dept. of the Catholic University (PUCRS). The Group research is mainly focused on the following topics:

- On-chip sensors for operating system activity monitoring in multicore processors

- WCET management for mixed-criticality insurance in multicore processors

- Reliable embedded systems design for combined effects of radiation and electromagnetic interference

- On-chip sensors for aging and reliability binning in logic, SRAM and FPGA

- CAD tools for power and reliability management
